Pollution Control License

Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) functioning under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, alongside the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) are responsible for implementation of pollution control laws mainly in the industrial sector. The existing/proposed Industries have to apply to the Pollution Control Board of the respective states.

The consent issued by the Pollution Control Board Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 is known as water consent and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is known as air consent.All submissions for obtaining consent shall be applied through the online portal Online Consent Management & Monitoring System.
